Ok fine. If we’re being honest here, I’m not exactly world famous for my love of cleaning. In fact, I’m world famous for my ‘hiring someone to clean’ skills as well as my ‘leaving it for long enough so that my husband will do it’ skills. It’s because I’m allergic to housework. Legit. I had a test.

The problem is, I can’t stand a dirty house. Dirty floors, dust, scuzzy bathrooms, and certain types of messes make me feel all twitchy inside. Nobody wants to bathe in a mildewy shower ya know.

Sidebar: when I say certain types of messes I mean those that others make. The disarray in my closet is exempt from this discussion.

Having said that, I am down with occasionally having to pitch in and use a little elbow grease when need be. I’m actually pretty good at cleaning. I just don’t like it. But as long as it’s going to be fast, there’s no dust involved, and a visit from my mother is imminent, I’m ok with becoming one with the scrub brush.

So what qualities does a non-cleaning but totally excellent at it nonetheless cleaning person like myself look for in their supplies? Well, anything that will make my job easy and fast.

Because I’ve got lots of other things to do than clean.

Like anything. Except training snakes. I’m afraid of snakes.

With three filthy gross kids in my house (boys who pee like a rainbow and daughter who confuses her floor with cans of all kinds—laundry, garbage…) and a stall shower in the master that’s prone to mildew, I need my cleaning products to werk it, werk it good. On their own.

Lysol® Bathroom Cleaning Foam and Lysol® Power Bathroom Cleaner, along with the full range of Lysol® disinfecting cleaning products are just the ticket for me. Why? Because I play a little game I like to call spray and walk away.

Or pump pump walk.

Yes, spray and walk away, pump pump walk.

Spray the shower, leave it sit. Spray the sink, leave it sit. Spray the tub, leave it sit. Spray the toilet, leave it sit.

Then I make the circle again a few minutes later, wipe away the product with water and a wet cloth or sponge, and I’ve got clean, shiny bathroom surfaces that are disinfected, and great smelling too. (I’m partial to the Lysol® Bathroom Cleaning Foam in Summer Fresh scent and the Lysol® Bathoom Cleaner in Spring Waterfall scent). Lysol® has a full range of bathroom products from Toilet to Tub, Sink to Shower that kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria.
