If any of you follow me you know that for a grown woman, I’m inappropriately addicted to Selfies. Seriously. But how many pics does it take to get that one social media worthy version? Nobody wants a bad pic of themselves floating around out there. Gone are the days of shoving embarrassing holiday photos in a drawer never to be seen again. Whether its Instagram, Facebook or everything in between, what goes on the Internet, stays on the Internet. You cannot hide. So the key is to get good at taking the almighty selfie so you can always put your best face forward. Newsflash: while you can put filters on all the day long, you can’t change what’s actually in the pictures! So do some prep before your photo ops and you’ll be happy with what’s on your camera roll.
Don’t let a stain spoil the occasion
Pick out all of your outfits ahead of time. Nobody wants to find that the perfect outfit you’ve envisioned has a stain on it (am I the only one who puts supposedly clean ‘I wore it for 1 hour’ clothes back in the closet only to find they’re actually dirty when I do to wear them?) Even worse, you don’t want to notice that you—or your kids—have a big blotch on your shirt once the photo has been taken. Especially if your kids are like mine and every picture is a negotiation. Since the only housework I’m good at is laundry, once you’ve checked your outfits, get them clean with Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean 3-in-1 Power Paks. OxiClean stain fighters help to remove stains, plus the formula freshens and deodorizes with the freshness of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.
Keep up the good smile
Hello! Daughter of a dentist here. So forgive me if I’m repeating myself, but maintaining good oral health shouldn’t be reserved for the holidays. Kids! Brush your teeth! Every day! Twice a day! At least! However, if you need to brush up (pun intended) on your smile, I recommend the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Sonic Pro Pulse Brush (I LOVE this brush). Why is it so great? Since the head spins when you reach to brush back corners, it removes two times more plaque than a regular, manual brush. When paired with Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Bright & Strong toothpaste, you’ve got a winning combo to strengthen and clean. Don’t you want to be known for your big, giant, bright smile?
Cut down on prep time
Beauty prep, that is. If you’re like me, that fabulous blow out only lasts a day before you need to rinse and repeat. Until now. Dry shampoo is the latest trick up my sleeve. My long curly hair takes 3 hours to air dry or else I’m a giant ball of frizz. So I’ve learned to love dry shampoo, and Batiste is a fave. It instantly refreshes my hair when I don’t have time to wash it by absorbing excess oil from the roots and leaving hair looking and smelling clean and fresh. Now I no longer stress when I’m running behind schedule and don’t have time to let my mane do it’s thing. If you’re a brunette, try Batiste Beautiful Brunette dry shampoo plus a hint of colour to bring out your gorgeous tones. It’s perfect for medium, brunette and auburn hair tones. Genius product. Seriously!
